MEET THE CANDIDATE: G_Is_Us Is Running For Metaverse Working Group Steward

Lights. Camera. Action! After a long career in entertainment, ApeCoin DAO Contributor, G_Is_Us, made a name for himself around the Yugavese with his United Grand Hall of Mocaverse Spaces. Now, G_Is_Us is looking to leverage his background in Motion Pictures to help get the picture up on the DAO’s new Metaverse Working Group as one of the committee’s first Stewards!

The winter election season of 2023 is underway at the ApeCoin DAO, with 12 contributors officially running to be the community’s first two metaverse working Group Stewards.

Among the candidates vying for this position is G_Is_Us.

“My motivation for becoming a Metaverse Working Group Steward stems from a deep belief in the transformative power of virtual spaces,”G_Is_Us wrote on his candidate page. “I am committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive community that not only supports content creators but also drives the cultural evolution of the metaverse. 1.Why are You Running for This Position?

“I am running for the position of Metaverse Working Group Steward to leverage my passion for the metaverse, extensive experience in world-building, and commitment to fostering collaboration. I aim to contribute to the growth of the ApeCoin DAO and bring tangible value to our diverse metaverse community.”

2. What is the Metaverse? How Do You Define It?

“The metaverse, as per Herman Narula, is a network of connected experiences delivering fulfillment, developing social relationships, and offering value to a community of users. I see it as a realm where real consequences, ownership, transferable value, investable businesses, and cultural outputs coalesce, creating an immersive space beyond mere consumption.”

3. What is the Purpose of a Metaverse Working Group?

“The purpose of a Metaverse Working Group is to serve as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and community-driven initiatives within the metaverse. It aims to drive the vision of the ApeCoin DAO by supporting builders, fostering inclusivity, and creating spaces that empower users and creators alike.”

4. What Would You Like to Accomplish in This Role?

“In this role, I aim to enhance the ApeCoin ecosystem by elevating the value of the ApeCoin token, building out robust tool layers for creators, and strategically funding initiatives that align with the community's vision. I aspire to bridge communities, champion inclusivity, and contribute to the evolution of the metaverse landscape.”

5. Why Are You the Right Person for the Job?

“My background as a veteran designer and art director in the motion picture industry, coupled with my extensive involvement in the metaverse, positions me as a unique candidate. My experience as a certified builder, founder of The United Grand Halls project, and advocate for chain agnostic interoperability equips me with the insights and skills needed to excel in this role.”

6. What Kind of Budget Do You Plan to Ask the Community For?

“I plan to work collaboratively with the community to formulate a budget that aligns with our goals. Transparency will be paramount, and I'll actively engage in discussions, seeking input and feedback to ensure community consensus. The budget will prioritize strategic initiatives that drive value and growth within the metaverse.”

7. What Does Success Look Like for This Working Group?

“Success for this Working Group involves a thriving metaverse ecosystem where builders are empowered, the ApeCoin token is a coveted asset, and inclusivity is ingrained in our community. A year from now, I envision a cohesive metaverse landscape, strengthened by diverse collaborations and shared achievements, with the Working Group serving as a driving force behind our collective success.”

The window to vote in the first round of the ApeCoin DAO’s Metaverse Working Group election is currently open and $Ape holders will have until December 6th to cast their coins in support their preferred nominees. After the first round of voting, the top five nominees with the most votes will proceed to the second round of voting and officially become ApeCoin DAO Metaverse Working Group candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from December 7th through December 13th. During this second vote, the community will officially elect first two Metaverse Working Group Stewards!
