MEET THE CANDIDATE: Dim Is Running For Metaverse Working Group Steward

After a decade in neuroscience and finance, ApeCoin DAO contributor Dim.Eth is ready to make moves in the digital realm as one of the ApeCoin DAO’s first Metaverse Working Group Stewards and help guide and support the community on its way to becoming the backbone of the metaverse!

The winter election season of 2023 is underway at the ApeCoin DAO, with 12 contributors officially running to be the community’s first two metaverse working Group Stewards.

Among the candidates vying for this position is Dim.Eth

“I’m passionate by technology, the Web3 space and the potential of ApeCoin since day 1,” Dim wrote on his candidate page. “I’m an easy going and creative person ready for the challenge to drive ApeCoin’s Metaverse use by supporting developers, builders and content creators.

I will support community initiatives and provide regular updates on the Working Group progresses in the most transparent way possible. I would love to start a Weekly space open to all to brainstorm ideas, initiatives and gather feedback.I also participate to many Crypto, Web3 events and conferences where I would love to organize gatherings to discuss the vision and needs of developers, builders and content creators. Finally, as I’m based in France, it will increase the timezone reach of the group.”

1.Why are You Running for This Position?

“I want to help making ApeCoin the coin of Web3 and not only the « coin of the apes » as it’s still too often considered to be.”

2. What is the Metaverse? How Do You Define It?

“My vision of the Metaverse is any digital gathering of people in an environment with proven ownership of assets. Gaming, social, artistic, the metaverse can be an infinite number of experience.”

3. What is the Purpose of a Metaverse Working Group?

“I see it as a link between creators (Devs, content creators, game creators, builders of all kind) and the DAO. A way to empower creators of experiences, tools and content of the broader metaverse to use ApeCoin.”

4. What Would You Like to accomplish in This Role?

“My first main project will be to gather and nurture a top tier community of builders, developers and content creators interested by ApeCoin and its integration.”

5. Why Are You the Right Person for the Job?

This position is very special, it’s a blank canvas, and this is what I’ve been doing my whole professional life. Building from scratch.”

6. What Kind of Budget Do You Plan to Ask the Community For?

“It’s difficult to evaluate, it will depend on a lot of things especially the team. But I can tell that money is not necessarily correlated to success. I’m used to work on tight budgets and manage a lot of external vendors.

7. What Does Success Look Like for This Working Group?

“Success is relative, I will consider it successful if a year from now everyone in the space have heard from it and what we are doing. Either from online initiatives like weekly spaces with special guests from the builders community or IRL presence at crypto/web3 conference.”

8. Do You Have Anything Else You’d Like to Add or Say?

“I think it’s important for the DAO to finally have passionate members from all continents.”

The window to vote in the first round of the ApeCoin DAO’s Metaverse Working Group election is currently open and $Ape holders will have until December 6th at 9 P.M. EST to cast their coins in support their preferred nominees. After the first round of voting, the top five nominees with the most votes will proceed to the second round of voting and officially become ApeCoin DAO Metaverse Working Group candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from December 7th through December 13th. During this second vote, the community will officially elect first two Metaverse Working Group Stewards!
