MEET THE CANDIDATE: Dhaheri Is Running For Special Council!

Taking stands, making moves, and being bullish on cryptocurrency has been a large part of Bored Ape Yacht Club member and ApeCoin DAO contributor Dhaheri’s life. In 2013, he was the first Emirati to introduce blockchain concepts to the UAE. From there, he obtained two blockchain patents, and he worked hard to foster a regulatory environment where mass adoption of crypto is possible. Now Dhaheri is running for a spot on the ApeCoin DAO’s Special Council where he hopes to find partners for the DAO, bring utility to the token, and drive mass adoption!

 

The winter election season of 2023 is underway at the ApeCoin DAO, with 27 contributors officially running to replace BoredApeG, Gerry, and VeraTheApe on the DAO's Special Council in 2024.

 

Among the candidates vying for a position on the ApeCoin DAO's Special Council is Dhaheri.

 

“My motivation for pursuing a position on the ApeCoin DAO Special Council is deeply rooted in a long-standing commitment to ensure that every blockchain endeavor I engage with delivers tangible benefits to its community,” Dhaheri wrote on his candidate page. “Since day one, my philosophy has been that the true measure of blockchain’s success lies in the value it adds to the end user’s experience. With ApeCoin, I see an opportunity to champion this ethos on a grand scale. My goal is to craft and advocate for initiatives that not only enhance the utility of ApeCoin for holders but also integrate the token into a broader ecosystem where it can serve as a beacon of innovation, access, and opportunity. I envision ApeCoin not just as a currency, but as a key to unlock exclusive content, services, and experiences, fostering a rich environment where holding ApeCoin translates into a spectrum of real-world utilities and advantages.”

1. In a sentence or two what is your candidacy all about?

 

“My candidacy is focused on harnessing my extensive blockchain background to enhance Ape Coin's utility, fostering a robust ecosystem where Ape Coin transcends being just a digital asset, evolving into a key enabler of diverse applications and benefits for its holders.”

 

 2. When and why did you decide to ape into the Special Council race?

 

“The decision came as a natural extension of my commitment to blockchain innovation. When I saw the potential of Ape Coin to revolutionize digital asset utility and community engagement, I knew my experience could significantly contribute to this exciting journey.”

 3. What makes you the right $Ape for Special Council? How has your past prepared you for this role?

 

“My early foray into blockchain in the UAE and involvement in regulatory frameworks make me uniquely suited for the Special Council. This background ensures I bring not just technical expertise but also strategic insights essential for navigating the complex landscape of digital currencies.”

 

4. What would you like to accomplish during your term?

 

“During my term, I aim to establish an 'Innovation Incubator' within the DAO, foster educational, innovative, incentives, utilities initiatives for better community engagement, and develop strategic partnerships to broaden Ape Coin’s utility and adoption.”

 

 5. Where would you like to see the DAO a year from now?

 

“I envision the DAO as a pioneering entity in the crypto space, recognized not just for its strong market presence but also for its innovative approach to member engagement, utility expansion, and responsible governance.”

 

 6. What are your thoughts and views on an ApeChain?

 

“The concept of an Apechain is intriguing. It presents an opportunity for enhanced decentralization and bespoke solutions tailored for the Ape Coin community. However, its feasibility and alignment with the DAO’s long-term goals should be thoroughly evaluated also as I said bring value to the holders and sensibility of having it sustain long term wise.”

 7. What’s your favorite book, movie, and show?

 

“My favorite book is 'Principles ' by Ray Dalio, which motivates me always. Movie-wise, 'The Social Network' resonates with my passion for tech innovation. As for shows, I enjoy 'Prison Break' for its intricate storytelling and the intellectual challenge it presents in unraveling complex scenarios and character motivations.”

 

 8. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

 

“I am deeply committed to contributing my knowledge and experience for the growth and betterment of the Ape Coin DAO. My focus is not only on what the DAO can achieve today but also on laying a sustainable foundation for its future. Laying the bricks for the DAO to continue even when our 1 year terms end.”

The window to vote in the first round of the ApeCoin DAO’s Special Council election is currently open and $Ape holders will have until December 13th to cast their coins in support their preferred nominees.

 

After the first round of voting, the top five nominees with the most votes will proceed to the second round of voting and officially become ApeCoin DAO Special Council candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from December 14th through December 20th. During this second vote, the community will officially elect its three new Special Council Members!
