After thousands of Apes put faces to names over the weekend at ApeFest, D3inc is taking names and issuing .Ape domains through the ApeCoin DAO-funded Ape Names platform—inviting everyone to ape in!

D3Inc’s .Ape domains aren’t just another wallet-naming service. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, these names will be interoperable across Web3, and D3inc will be applying to have Ape Names’ dot Ape recognized as a top-level domain by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) this year.

This move will allow the ApeCoin DAO to operate and monetize .Ape domains, positioning them alongside other top-level domains. According to Hsu, this new revenue stream will benefit the DAO as users and companies acquire their  dot Ape domains.
