Non-fungible magic is in the air this fall as Mocaverse announces its partnership with Magic Eden to launch a new NFT launchpad powered by the $Moca token, featuring Animoca Brands-backed NFT drops later this month!
Animoca Brands and Magic Eden's latest collaboration might just be the mystical brew that NFTs need to recapture some of the magic from 2021 and 2022 that’s been missing for a while now.
“Are NFTs dead? Nah, it just needs a little magic MagicMoca - A co-branded NFT launchpad by Mocaverse and @MagicEden,” the Mocaverse tweeted today. “A core addition to the Moca Network infrastructure - to grow the Moca Network with the most active NFT community.”
“It's been a great experience partnering with Mocaverse and bringing this launchpad to life,” CEO and co-founder of Magic Eden Jack Lu said in a press release. “Our priority will always be to push boundaries on how to expand the world of NFTs, so tapping into innovative collaborations with Mocaverse and unlocking access to the Animoca Brands ecosystem is a huge asset for both of our communities.”
With this “MagicMoca” partnership, the two companies aim to leverage their networks and bring forth NFT drops from across various industries, including gaming, sports, and more. Animoca Brands will also use the platform as a funnel for its 540-project NFT portfolio to release new NFTs, according to a press release.
“Mocaverse welcomes Magic Eden to the Moca Network, where we share the same vision to accelerate consumer crypto by using NFTs as the touchpoint for day to day consumers,” Mocaverse Lead Kenneth Shek said in a press release. “Together, Mocaverse and Magic Eden will tap into Mocaverse’s network effect and curate only the best projects launching NFTs exclusively for both communities. Magic Eden is launching marketplaces compatible with different chains, and we’re fully aligned to bringing full interoperability to users through our new launchpad MagicMoca and adopting the omni-chain MOCA Coin.”
At this time, the exact launch date of the launchpad is still unknown, but it is expected to be live by the end of quarter three 2024, which is September 30th.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, $Moca is an omni-chain utility and governance token that powers Mocaverse and was launched in July. $Moca can be used across any chain and is designed to follow its community wherever they participate within the broader 'Moca ecosystem,' according to the coin’s Litepaper.
