MADE BY APES: BAYC Member SeraStarGirl's 1287 Brand Is Rocking Out With BAYC Vibes!

Punk rock pink in style around the swamp after Bored Ape Yacht Club member SeraStarGirl recently launched her Made By Ape brand, 1287 (Twelve Eighty-Seven)!

Get your lighters ready and prepare to headbang because SeraStarGirl has just launched her MBA brand’s debut collection, featuring a band tee that fuses BAYC vibes with rock-and-roll flair!

“1287 (Twelve Eighty-Seven) is my personal MBA—a passion project where I transform my art and graphic designs into apparel,” Sera told the Gazette. “The vision for the brand is rooted in a “band T-shirt grungy” aesthetic, which I absolutely love. It’s all about fun graphic tees that you can throw on, featuring designs that pay homage to the BAYC community.”

 

In total, this first drop consists of a logo tee, a cropped logo tee, a Juice Box Frens coin purse, and a Pink Skull Shirt that was inspired by Sera’s bored ape, Bored Ape #1287.

 

“For Drop 1, I’ve launched the PINK SKULL T-SHIRT, inspired by the traits of my Bored Ape, #1287,” she said.”The pink skull matches the exact shade of her fur, the VR headset is a nod to the one she’s wearing, and I’ve added cherry blossoms on the side, reflecting her name, Sakura. To give the shirts that alternative edge, I’ve hand-bleached each one, and I’m really proud of how it all came together.”

Going forward, Sera hopes to do more limited-time and limited-edition drops and continue to bring her graphic designs to life.

 

"I’ll continue releasing drops as inspiration strikes. I have a few ideas already sketched out and can’t wait to create samples. My goal is to keep the vibe authentic—sharing designs with the community and seeing what resonates. This project is about maintaining a creative outlet, without the pressure of constantly producing. I’ll let inspiration guide me, and hopefully, that leads to more fun and exciting pieces down the line.
