LICENSE TO VOTE: Yuga Labs Officially Delegated 6.5 Million Apecoin DAO Votes To The Made By Apes Community!

The 400+ Made By Apes builders around the swamp officially became the largest voting bloc in the ApeCoin DAO after Yuga Labs delegated 6.5 million votes to the bored builders!

Things were anything but boring on Wednesday when Yuga Labs announced that it had officially delegated 6.5 million $Ape votes to the new ApeCoin DAO’s MadeByApesVote.eth.

“Ape builders, it’s time to make your voices heard, “ Yuga Labs tweeted from its Bored Ape Yacht Club account. “The 6.5M $APE has been delegated to madebyapesvote.eth. A snapshot of wallets holding valid MBA licenses will be taken this Friday, 10/4 at 6P ET. Wallets in this snapshot will be eligible to vote in this upcoming AIP cycle on https://snapshot.org/#/madebyapesvote.eth/ You can login to the MBA site to see if your license is valid ttps://madeby.yuga.com/apes.”

 

“Stoked for MBA builders to have a bigger voice in the DAO,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted after the announcement.

The new Made By Apes voting bloc will represent the interests of over 400 MBA-licensed businesses around the swamp. Each wallet with a valid MBA license will get to cast one vote—either for, against, or to abstain—on every proposal during each cycle.

The MadeByApesVote.eth delegation will invite MBA licensees to vote every first and third Friday of the month. MBA licensees will have 10 days to vote, and the delegation must reach a 10% quorum for their 6.5 million $Ape votes to be cast in the broader ApeCoin DAO AIP votes, according to Yuga Labs.

 

“Literally could not have chosen a better place to delegate voting power to,” BAYC member and ThankApe Lead Dilly Dilly tweeted. “MBA is the alpha of the ape social graph and I expect we will see this decision create value for the DAO immediately GG BAYC.”

 

Following Yuga Labs’ delegation to the MadeByApesVote.eth community, it is now the single largest voting bloc in the DAO, surpassing the Mocaverse delegation’s voting power by 200,000 coins.
