LEND ME YOUR EARS: Arbitrum's Native Dex Camelot Is Creating An Orbital Liquidity Network That Includes ApeChain!

Apes and $Apes, lend me your ears! The Arbitrum-native decentralized exchange Camelot has decreed the creation of an Orbital Liquidity Network, promising increased volume, liquidity, and activity for all!

On Wednesday, Camelot announced its quest to expand its liquidity kingdom not only to the ApeCoin DAO’s ApeChain but also to all the Arbitrum Orbit chains within the ecosystem.

“The Orbital Liquidity Network is Camelot's evolved vision,” the Dex tweeted. “The Castle will connect & align Orbit chains, creating a unified Arbitrum ecosystem. Most importantly, its role extends beyond just the infrastructure, with Camelot now acting as the hub for these fragmented chains. Instead of Orbit chains being isolated, Camelot will create network effects so that each chain is connected to the broader Arbitrum community. This will unlock significantly more value for everyone in the network, fueling higher volumes, liquidity, & overall user activity. Becoming the Orbital Liquidity Network is a significant shift for Camelot and has required months of development to lay the initial foundations. This new vision has brought in a refreshed brand and roadmap to reflect the evolved direction of Camelot.”

 

As part of this Orbital Liquidity Network, Camelot’s $GRAIL token holders will gain access to new revenue streams across the ecosystem, such as new staking opportunities on ApeChain.

“GRAIL remains the only token for Camelot, continuing to capture real yield from across Camelot’s network of Orbit chains,” the Dex wrote in its Medium artoicle. “New rewards tokens through xGRAIL staking will be added alongside the growth of WINR and ApeChain Orbit launches. Further details will be shared closer to the time of execution.”

 

Camelot is also exploring a potential token split for GRAIL, allowing more participants in the growing Orbital Liquidity Network to join in. However, details about this split are still being worked out, according to the DEX.

“This new vision reflects Camelot's larger ambitions, doubling down on its commitment to accelerate Arbitrum and scale the ecosystem,” Camelot tweeted. “The Orbital Liquidity Network will evolve to bring the best solutions to the Arbitrum ecosystem. As a network, we all win.”

 

Following Camelot’s announcement, OffChain Labs’ AJ Warner, who worked alongside Horizen Labs and the Arbitrum team to build ApeChain, tweeted that this will change the game for Arbitrum Orbit chains like ApeChain.

“The Camelot roadmap is intense, and awesome,” he said. “An ambitious team deeply aligned with the Arbitrum ecosystem. Building out a robust UX with deep liquidity is going to change the game for orbits. Let’s keep building Arbitrum together.”

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Camelot first announced that it would be coming to ApeChain last month.

 

“Camelot will deploy on @apecoin's upcoming chain, Apechain,” the DEX tweeted on July 25th. “ApeChain is a dedicated infrastructure layer to power the ApeCoin ecosystem. Camelot will provide the APE ecosystem with battle-tested liquidity infrastructure & serve as the native DEX. "
