Legends Of The Mara Is Coming Next Month. Here's The First Major Choice Players Will Have To Make:

The Legends of the Mara are becoming a reality as Yuga Labs revealed that the highly anticipated strategy game’s 'open beta' will launch in September!

Things are anything but boring around the swamp this evening after Yuga Labs announced that the battle for Otherside begins next month.

“This is a big moment, Voyagers. It’s time to learn about the powers of your Otherdeed and earn rewards that will come into play during future LotM expansions,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account. “This chapter of LotM will evolve over the coming months, and more capabilities will be uncovered as the full launch nears. But for now, get ready to hatch your Vessels, gather sediment from your deed, and defend Otherside.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, LoTM is a strategy game and that Voyagers will need to be strategic in how they fight the Shattered and defend the Otherside.

One of the first strategic choices that LoTM players will have to make in the game is deciding which type of Vessel they should nest on their Otherdeeds first.

“Only one Vessel can be nested on any given Otherdeed Expanded at a time, so choose your first Vessel(s) to nest into Mara wisely,” Yuga Labs’ Gaming Team explained in a press release in April 2023. “The mechanics of nesting will be further defined in the LoTM Litepaper.”

Remember there are three different Vessel types in LoTM and each have their own unique abilities. Hunters protect Otherside from the evil Shattered, Farmers farm sediment fragments from players Otherdeeds and Enchanters’ abilities are currently unknown.

All Otherdeed holders can claim their Vessels and participate in the Legends of The Mara game next month by claiming their Vessels, that turn into Mara and KodaMaras, on Yuga Labs’ Otherside website here: https://lotm.otherside.xyz
