A longtime CryptoPunk holder and NFT bull made a trippy transaction last night, aping into a top-tier Trippy fur primate!
Things were anything but boring on Sunday as the Bored Ape floor pumped, and crypto enthusiast DGMD purchased a Trippy fur Bored Ape for 38.89 ETH or $102,000 USD.
“I buy Moinkee,” DGMD simply tweeted after his purchase.
DGMD’s new Ape is Bored Ape #5895, a seven-trait Trippy fur primate rocking a navy striped tee and a party hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #5895 ranks as the 371st most bored Bored Ape, according to Magic Eden.
After the purchase, DGMD told The Gazette that he bought this Ape because it’s one of a kind, represents culture on the blockchain, and because he wants to be a trippy fur primate on Otherside!
“On-fungible cultural artifacts on-chain are the best store of value in all of crypto, especially now when everyone is doubting them and there is hardly any speculation left in the NFT market. This monke is a 1/1, look forward to being trippy in Otherside with my fellow apes.”
Following his purchase, DGMD took to Twitter to expand on why he’s bullish on Bored Apes and urged others to take a long-term view.
"Bought this Ape and several others over the last week (and many more other NFTs)," he tweeted. "I see a lot of chatter in the comments about 'Must be an announcement coming' 'What's cooking?' 'Is Vitalik about to PFP his new Ape?'. I didn't buy any of these Apes because of speculation of something coming and I know most of the other buyers from this week and they didn't either. I bought them because I love them, and because I think the Bored Ape Yacht Club continues to embody what it means to be part of premier Web3 community and what it is capable of. NFTs will become strikingly important as we enter the dawn of AGI, and assets that foster human connection, creativity and identity will be of utmost importance.
