Here's What MachiBigBrother Is Looking for In $Ape Office Nominees This Election Season

The ApeCoin DAO's third-ever election season has begun, and ApeCoin whale MachiBigBrother told the Gazette what he's looking for in nominees this election season!

As ApeCoin DAO Contributors decide whether they want to run for Ape Office this winter, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to MachiBigBrother, who currently holds 7.3 million $Ape, and asked him what he’d like to see from $Ape office seekers.

“Anyone running should have authored or co-authored an AIP,” MachiBigBrother said. “If they haven’t. They should come with a strong or unique background.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the window for Apes to throw their hats in the ring for one of the three open Special Council seats, the Governance Working Group Steward position, the two Marketing and Comms Working Group Steward openings, or the two Metaverse Working Group Steward spots opened earlier this month.

In order to run for any of these positions, ApeCoin DAO contributors will need to fill out the Google Doc form for the races they'd like to participate in by November 19th at 9 P.M. EST. These Google Docs can be found here: https://forum.apecoin.com

From there, the DAO will verify the nominees’ applications. Then the DAO approved candidates will move onto the next phase of the election. During this second phase, the community will have the chance to meet the candidates and find out more about them and their backgrounds.

Then from December 7th- December 13th, the community will hold its first round of voting where they will select five candidates from each race to move onto the second round.

From there, the community will vote again from December 14th- December 20th. During this second round of voting, the community will select its preferred candidates for each of the open positions. The winners of this winter’s election season will then officially take office on January 1st, 2024. Check out this winter’s election calendar below:
