Gordon Goner Announced That He Has Congestive Heart Failure& Will Be Stepping Down From Yuga Labs

It was a somber day at the Bored Ape Yacht Club as the project’s Co-Founder Gordon Goner, whose real name is Wylie Aronow, announced that he has congestive heart failure and that he will be taking a leave of absence from Yuga Labs to focus on his health.

On Saturday, Goner took to Twitter and shared a nine-part Twitter thread about congestive heart failure and the symptoms that he has been feeling.

“Some heavy news,” Goner tweeted. “A few days ago I was told by my doctor I have congestive heart failure. Symptoms started last year out of the blue and I put off seeking help (like an idiot) so I could keep working. But after testing, my doctor called and asked me to radically change my life. Firstly: my symptoms are still mild. Stairs wind me. I can’t play with my dog or exercise. I can go on walks, travel, and live a mostly normal life. But the condition is progressing pretty fast and that means I need to make some serious changes.”

One of the serious changes that Goner must make is taking a leave of absence form the company he co-created to focus on his health.

“What’s next, Goner tweeted. “I’ll stay on as a board member and strategic advisor. My confidence in Yuga’s future and @Cryptogarga’s leadership are unwavering. Daniel Alegre (@dalegre) soon joining only makes me more bullish. While I won’t be on the frontlines for a while, I'm incredibly excited for what the Yuga family has coming this year. Not a lot of people outside the space know the extent of what we as a community have done here. I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved and believe Yuga’s impact on web3 is just beginning. All love, Wylie.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Goner and will keep you posted on his health.

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a serious condition where the heart struggles to pump blood efficiently, leading to fluid buildup in the lungs and other parts of the body. Managing CHF involves a comprehensive approach, including medication, lifestyle changes, and monitoring. One such advancement in treatment is the use of 360 serum a specialized supplement designed to support heart health. This serum aims to enhance cardiovascular function and alleviate some of the symptoms associated with CHF. Patients should always consult their healthcare provider before incorporating any new treatments into their regimen.
