GOING GO-RILLAZ: ApeChain NFT Project RILLAZ Teased Its "DEPIX" Collection That Will Reimagine The Pixelated Primates As Animated Apes!

It’s getting go-RILLAZ on ApeChain after one of the first-ever pixelated NFT projects on $Ape gave the community their first look at DEPIX, a new, more animated take on the project’s iconic gorilla NFTs.

On Wednesday, the RILLAZ, an ApeChain NFT project inspired by ApeCoin’s gorilla logo, had $Apes going bananas with a sneak peek at an upcoming collection that reimagines its 10,000 pixelated primates as lively, animated apes!

“Mutants are insane, but first we have to break out of the pixel,” the project tweeted, teasing that “every RILLAZ will get a chance to meet their DEPIX soon.”

 

“Holders will have the chance to ‘de-pixelate’ their original RILLAZ, bringing them to life in a refreshing new style and opening up exciting new IP possibilities,” RILLAZ Co-Founder Kid Guri told the Gazette. When asked about DEPIX. “Being the first native pixel art collection on ApeChain, we won’t implement a burn mechanism. Instead, the original 10K pixel RILLAZ will coexist with DEPIX. More details soon!”

As of this article’s publication, it’s still unclear what Kid Guri and his team have planned for DEPIX, but the collection’s focus on a vibrant, cartoony redesign already has RILLAZ thumping their chests! “This is rilla hype,” Jacopo Lanza tweeted.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, RILLAZ launched on ApeChain on October 25th, just days after the chain’s debut, and has since risen to become the seventh-largest ApeChain NFT project by sales volume, according to Magic Eden.

 

“Our Rillaz are a celebration of the ApeChain launch and the ApeCoin rebrand, and seeing the community adopt the image, vibes and philosophy is incredibly exciting,” Kid Guri told the Gazette at the time.
