"GOB DAMN": GobsOnApe Hoard Holder Cos0x Sold A Ghoulish Gob For An ApeChain Record Setting Amount, 28,888 $Ape!

Cackling squeals echoed from the trenches late last night after a ghoulish Gob sold for a record-breaking amount on ApeChain, 28,888 $APE, or nearly $15,000 USD!

On Thursday, GobsOnApe hoard holder Cos0x was feeling good and grubby after emerging from another day in the Web3 world to find that his rare ghoul Gob, Gob #117, had sold for 28,888 $APE to an anonymous buyer.

“Gob damn,” he tweeted, along with a screenshot of the OpenSea sale email.

 

Gob #117 is a four-trait ghoulish goblin featuring ghoul eyes, a unicorn blood mouth, and a light blue sweater. Based on these traits, Gob #117 is the 32nd rarest Gob On Ape, according to Magic Eden.

“28,888 APE is a historic sale for ApeChain, and it’s fitting that it was a Gob,” Cos0x told the Gazette. “I’ve been a big advocate for Gobs since mint, as you can tell from my tweets. I actually sold three other Gobs this week (a Hoodie, an Ice, and a Candy) for a total of 11K APE, so in all, that’s around 40K APE. I’ve already picked up some more Gobs, and I still hold 48 of them. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for other underrated grails, but I’m also planning to spread the love to some other collections on ApeChain that I think deserve more attention.”

 

As Cos0x continues picking up Gobs and supporting his frens in the trenches, the Gazette asked him for advice for those looking to snag their first Gob. While he highlighted some top-tier traits to watch out for, he ultimately recommended always buying what you like.

 

“Wild white hair is the best Gob trait haha but I’m biased” he said.  “Swampwich is eyes is one of those rares that people can’t see visually is super rare but there are only like 15 or 16 of them. I really do think my gob is the best in the collection haha, I had the chance to get a lot of gobs early and this is what I chose to use as a pfp forever.”
