GAME ON: Faraway Studios' Mobile Game Rebel Skies Launches With Special Utility for Apes And HVs!

The fate of the universe will be decided on a grid now that Faraway Gaming Studios has launched its highly anticipated strategy-based battle game, Rebel Skies, in collaboration with Yuga Labs!

On Tuesday, gamers from around the swamp and beyond were invited to download Rebel Skies, a mobile strategy game where players can either join forces with or battle against HV-MTL mascot J3FF to dominate the virtual world and win real-life prizes.

Faraway Studios describes Rebel Skies as a “fast-paced real-time combat game featuring exciting battles that can be fought and won in hundreds of ways,” according to the game’s App Store description. “Join or fight against J3FF, your favorite sentient mech, and choose a faction, enlist a commander, build your battle deck, and challenge others in real time. Go head-to-head with players around the globe, climb the leaderboard, and win real prizes!”

 

In the game, players will need to use their energy wisely to defend their territory and fight for glory! Check out some gameplay screenshots below:

 

Additionally, like the gaming studio’s other games, BAYC members and HV-MTL holders are eligible for exclusive in-game perks, according to Faraway.

Later this week, Yuga Labs CEO Garga will join the team at ApeCoin DAO-funded Swamp Gaming for a Twitter Spaces session to discuss the game. The event will take place on Thursday at 3 P.M. EST.

“Joining this spaces later this week to chat Rebel Skies,” Garga tweeted. “New mobile-first game that has been in the works for a long time, now being published by @farawaygg with utility for HV-MTL. Game is out today, go check it out.”

 

 

Rebel Skies is just the latest release from Faraway Studios this year. As previously reported by the Bored Ape Gazette, the studio also launched Dookey Dash Unclogged in partnership with Yuga Labs, Serum City in collaboration with the Novel Labs, and Villains: Robot Battle Royale with South Korea-based gaming studio BirdLetter.

Looking ahead, Faraway Studios is planning several new games that will feature added utility for the HV-MTL and Mara collections, which the studio acquired from Yuga Labs earlier this year.

These upcoming titles include additional seasons of Legends of the Mara, a HV-MTL version of LOTM, and Shatterline, slated to debut on December 5th.
