"FUCK DOING EXPECTED THINGS": Yuga Labs CEO Garga Shares His New Years Resolutions & Teases A New PP Man Led Project!

2025 will be the year of “fuck doing expected things” around the swamp as Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the timeline to share his New Year’s resolutions with the community—hinting at an upcoming project with PP Man!

Some peoples’ New Year’s resolutions revolve around losing weight. Others want to travel more. But Yuga Labs CEO Garga wants to keep building upon the multi-billion dollar company he co-founded in 2021 and cement the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s place as the best online club in the world!

 

“2025 resolutions: make it an incredible year for Yuga renew focus, set an incredible tempo for shipping, execute better than we ever have remember to make stuff that makes the team laugh when we win, stop to celebrate with the team in a big way cement BAYC as the best club on the internet, blow people's minds with the next project PP Man is leading, break all mass concurrency records with Otherside, eat more donuts, get a second puppy (WTB Norwich Terrier, female), resist the urge to buy the paperback, Kindle, and Audiobook for every single book I am reading.”

 

At this time, we don’t know what Garga and PP Man are working on, but we do that it will launch on PP Man's birthday and that 2025 will be off to an anything-but-boring start this month.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, a new episode of Project Dragon is scheduled to take us back to the Otherside sometime in January.

We also know that Yuga Labs will host its first ever Dookey Dash Unclogged eSports Tournament with Faraway Gaming Studios and Swamp Gaming from January 11–17, followed by a Tournament of Champions on January 22. This event will feature a million-dollar prize pool!  

 

On top of all that, Yesterday, we learned that Yuga Labs is gearing up to roll out its Shadows on ApeChain mirroring tech. Once launched, Bored Apes that are safely vaulted on Ethereum will be recognized on ApeChain, unlocking staking opportunities and other features, according to the company’s VP of Blockchain 0xQuit.

 

“Quick end of year Shadow update: We made some last minute additions that should greatly improve UX and DevX, which also means we kicked off a new set of audits,” he wrote. “We're ready to deploy as soon as this audit cycle is complete. I was hoping they'd be out by the new year, but this also gives us time to line up more immediate use cases and make sure NFT Staking is ready to launch along with the initial shadow deployment.”

 

With all this on the horizon in just the first month or so, 2025 is shaping up to be the year of “fuck doing expected things.”
