FROM THE TRENCHES TO THE SWAMP: DakMan Joins The BAYC After Winning A Bored Ape Via ApeChain Spotlight

From the ApeChain trenches to the Swamp! The Bored Ape Yacht Club just gained a new member who’s been building on $Ape for months, showing up in Spaces daily, and even made history with the first-ever ApeChain NFT tattoo, all thanks to ApeChain’s Spotlight program!

Things were anything but boring on Friday when ApeChain’s NGBShpend joined Yuga Labs’ BaronVonHustle and IllaDaProducer on Meet At The Clubhouse to announce that DakMan had won a Bored Ape after placing 810th on the Spotlight Season 1 leaderboard!

 “Oh my God, Jesus Christ,” Dakman said right after Apechain’s NGBShpend announced that he had won a Bored Ape. “what the fuck just happened here? Geez! Damn, I’m sorry guys. I’m short for words. I do not know what to say. I do not know how to go about this. This is great, what the hell! Damn, fuck!”

 

DakMan’s primate prize is Bored Ape #877, a six-trait golden brown fur primate with a captain’s hat, a bored unshaven face, and an orange background.

 

After his win, Apes and $Apes took to the timeline to congratulate DakMan on his new Bored Ape and to say that no one deserves it more.

 

While DakMan may be new to the BAYC, he is no stranger to ApeChain. He has been building ApeChain Africa since November 2024, is part of the Froglings NFT team, and made history earlier this year by getting a tattoo of an ApeChain NFT.

“I fuckin love the bored ape yacht club …. Changing lives daily! Bullish AF,” BAYC member and Geez On Ape Founder Rida tweeted. “I forgive  @ApeChainHUB and  @apecoin for my points … what they did today is mind blowing and why I love this chain!”

 

As the Space continued, DakMan thanked his business partner Art for always believing in him and helping him build on ApeChain, and he thanked the entire community for welcoming him with open arms.

“I feel blessed. Its not just me being here trying to build ApeChain Africa. I was doing this without owning an ape. But I just know that this is going to be next level for me. Im super happy that the African community has been supporting, coming into Froglings, and being one of the amazing PFPs…Nigerians have been strongly holding and strong with everything we are doing… We were able to partner with Web3 Nigeria, which is one big win for all of us.  Having over 50 thousand members on X. We were also able to seal some IRL partnerships with what we are building with ApeChain Africa. This is next level for me. Big shoutout to everyone. Damn I’m emotional right now but I don’t know what else to say… The support has been crazy. I wont fail this ecosystem.  I wont fail the community. I will keep  building, and I want to see ApeFest Africa happen soon!”
