The sewers beneath the Bored Ape Yacht Club have their first-ever champion after gamer Times0x Dookey Dashed his way to victory in the inaugural Dookey Dash Unclogged Tournament of Champions!
On Thursday, thousands tuned into the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Faraway Gaming Studios' Dookey Dash Unclogged Tournament of Champions, hosted by Swamp Gaming, to watch 16 of the best Dashers from Season One dodge cows and navigate the sewers for a $25,000 USD grand prize!
From the first flush, Times0x was Dookey Dashing on another level. He began the Tournament of Champions by defeating professional gamer—and Swamp Gaming’s favorite to win—Sway in Round 1, shocking the sewer!
It feels good to beat sway in the first round.” Times0x said. “There were some nerves going into the first round but I was able to shake it off.”
And shake them off he did. Times0x went on to score multiple million-point runs in the pipes, eventually making it to the finals, where he faced off against another professional gamer, Twayko. In the deciding match, he put up an all-time best Dash, scoring an incredible 1.93 million points to secure the title and the $25,000 prize!
“There really wasn't much going on in my head during that 1.9 mil run other than I want to win,” Times0x said. “I just played how I normally played and it worked out. It feels great to win, I put it in a lot of time and effort so I'm glad it paid off.”
After his win, Times0x plans to save some of the prize money, use part of it for school, and start investing. He’s also looking forward to competing in next season’s Dookey Dash Tournament and defending his toilet title.
