FLOATING WITH FRENS: The Web3 World Popped Into Otherside For Another Bubble Hangout Sesh!

The Otherside was popping this afternoon as hundreds of Apes and NFT enthusiasts left their Twitter echo chambers for Yuga Labs’ Bubble hangout session!

Things were anything but boring on Thursday as the Web3 world traveled to Otherside for Yuga Labs’ second test of Bubbles — the company’s Otherside-native version of Twitter Spaces that lets users join conversations as their PFPs inside a literal bubble!

 

 

ChooseRich Nick and the Bodoggo Bros kicked off the floating festivities with an impromptu gameshow that tested community members' NFT knowledge and the Otherside’s technological capabilities!

After the Bodoggos’ Bubble burst, the BAYC Council invited everyone to float with them, chat about life, and speculate on the future of Otherside.

As Apes and Web3 community members hung out in the metaverse, they filled the Twitter timeline with photos of themselves popping and twerking in bubbles!

 

 

“Voyagers, Thank you for attending Bubbles,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account after the event. “Appreciate our hosts @chooserich,  @piovincenzo_, @EasyEatsBodega, @Chilearmy123, @TheeHustleHouse, & @BaycCouncil for hosting today. Stay tuned for the next Bubbles event.”

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs first announced Bubbles at ApeFest 2024. The company sees it as a key part of making Otherside the go-to place in Web3 and beyond.

"We want Otherside to be the default place you go to hang out with your friends in Web3” Garga said during his keynote speech in October. “That means games but it also means fun sticky social features…This is our little version of Twitter spaces or Discord stages. This has been one of our most requested features like a special voice chat for interviews, podcasts, and just like adventuring and hanging with your friends. But we didn’t just want to make a little conference room like you’d see in other metaverses. So, we added our own little twist on it. When you start a bubble, you literally float up in the air and you’ll be inside an effervescent bubble with your crew. I think it’s pretty fucking fun.”

 

 

At this time, Yuga Labs has not announced when it plans to host the third Bubble event. However, the entire Yugaverse is invited to visit Otherside again next Wednesday for another episode of Project Dragon.
