Things were anything but boring on Otherside this Friday as the Koda community gained access to their character’s 3D files for the first time ever!
“Bring your Kodas to life in 3D,” Yuga LAbs tweeted from its Otherside account. “Download your Koda avatars now: http://launch.otherside.xyz/my-collection”
Following this post, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the timeline, expressing excitement about what the community will create with their Kodas. He also announced that Bored Ape Yacht Club members Tropical Virtual and Rida will be sharing helpful tutorials and tools to assist Koda holders.
“If you joined one of our recent Otherside events as a Koda holder, you already got a chance to play as your avatar,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted after the files release. “But as we did with Bored Apes, today we’re providing the 3D files to holders as well. Stoked to see what 3D artists and builders in the community get up to with these. For amateurs, there’s some friendly tutorials coming from @tropicalvirtual on how to navigate these and import into things like Mixamo for use. And finally, for newbies like myself, we’re working with @RidazLp2‘s inceptive studios on integrating Kodas into their Dashbo platform for even easier meme’ing.”
Koda holders can access their 3D files via the Otherside launch site. Once there, users can scroll to their Kodas and download their characters’ FBX, GLB, and Blend files.

To help community members understand and use their 3D files, Tropical Virtual dropped a video this afternoon, giving Kodas an overview of the available files.
One popular tool that many Koda holders are using to bring their avatars to life is Blender.
To use Blender, holders will need to download the application and upload their Koda file. More information on Blender can be found via Twitter @Blender or on the official website https://www.blender.org
