On Wednesday, the ApeCoin DAO overwhelmingly approved Elite Apes Founder JasonJape’s Ape Improvement Proposal 545 titled “Beyond the NFT: Renewal of NFT Lab Magazine’s Plan for Empowering ApeCoin’s Global Community,”ensuring that his NFT Labs magazine stays in physical stores worldwide for another year.
“I’m feeling incredibly overwhelmed,” Jason tweeted after the vote. “AIP-545 passed with over 95% support from the community, and I couldn't be more grateful. Last year was tough for me, but I’m thankful for those who offered their support and kindness when I needed it most. I’ll never forget your generosity. (YKWYA) Life is a journey, and some people come and go along the way. Thank you to everyone who has been part of mine.”
The ApeCoin DAO will allocate $168,000 to Jason, who will use the funds to publish six NFT-focused magazines over the next year on a bi-monthly schedule with a focus on the Yugaverse and the broader NFT market.
“This proposal aims to continue promoting ApeCoin and Yuga ecosystem news and projects to both our existing audience and beyond,” Jason wrote in his proposal. “Our strategy includes generating content that spotlights community projects, ApeCoin DAO news, and Yuga initiatives, while also allowing communities such as MBA, Mocaverse, Pudgy Penguins, Azuki, Thank Ape and GWG to contribute contents upon selection.”
In 2024, NFT Labs magazine distributed more than 40,000 magazines across eight issues, reaching over 50,000 readers in 1,200 locations worldwide.
