Electronic music producer and DJ, Marshmello has aped into the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Marshmello, whose real name is Christopher Comstock, recently joined the NFT community and immediately purchased a bored ape.

“Goin’ Ape Shit @BoredApeYC #BAYC,” Marshmello tweeted regarding his ape purchase.

Marshmello purchased Bored Ape #4808 for 75 Eth or $219,000. Bored Ape #4808 is a five trait cream fur ape with a multicolored grin mouth 3d glasses, and a bone tee.

After the purchase, bored apes were quick to welcome Marshmello into the community and comment on how wild a BAYC music festival would be now that he aped in.

“The music festival that could be put on with BAYC/MAYC/BAKC is absolutely ridiculous," BAYC member Abra Cadver tweeted. “We could even get @SHAQ back on the mic!”

Marshmello is just the latest in a growing list of EDM musicians to join the BAYC. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, BassJackers has been entertaining crowds with bored apes dancing behind them for months, and the Chainsmokers also aped in over the summer.
