ELECTION 2024: Grains Is Running For ApeCoin DAO Web3 Development Working Group Steward

After being a Web2 entrepreneur and building a company at the intersection of tech and entertainment, ApeCoin DAO Contributor Grains is throwing his hat in the ring and running for a spot on the ApeCoin DAO’s new Web3 Development Working Group with the goal of bridging the gap between Web2 brands and ApeChain.

Things are anything but boring in the $Ape ecosystem this week as ApeCoin DAO Contributors head to the polls to cast their coins and elect two Special Council members, two Governance Working Group Stewards, two Web3 Development Working Group Stewards, a Marketing and Communications Working Group Steward, and a Metaverse Working Group Steward to $Ape office!

As $Apes start to vote, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to every candidate from every race and asked them for their final thoughts on the Banana Bill, what they hope to accomplish, and making ApeCoin fun.

1. In a sentence or two why should $Ape holders vote for you?

“$Ape holders should vote for me because I bring the right blend of Web2 and Web3 experience, with a proven track record of building successful businesses and a relentless drive to elevate ApeCoin beyond $1, aiming for 10x-20x growth.”

2. What’s your vision for the Web3 Development Working Group?

“My vision for the Web3 Development Working Group is to bridge Web2 and Web3, bringing real businesses with real experience into ApeChain. I want to create a thriving ecosystem where established industries like music, entertainment, and sports can leverage the power of ApeCoin, driving massive adoption and value.”

3. This is a new Working Group and you’ll have to ask for a budget later this year. What kind of budget do you plan to ask the DAO for and what will you use the money on?

“I'll ask for a budget that covers onboarding efforts, developer incentives, and marketing to attract top-tier projects. The funds will be used to create educational resources, host workshops, and provide grants to developers and businesses to integrate with ApeChain, ensuring we can bring real value and innovation. ApeCoin should be different to all other coins out there. It's a seriously coin with a fun name, In my view this works well for the brand.

 

4. What is one tangible thing that you want to accomplish if elected? How will it impact the DAO?

“I want to secure partnerships with major online stores and businesses in the music, entertainment, and sports industries within the first year. This will boost ApeCoin’s visibility to the wider web2 community to drive adoption and increase ApeCoin's value, which will benefit everyone.”

5. What are your thoughts on the Banana Bill? How would you support it as the DAO’s Web3 Development Working Group Steward?

“The Banana Bill is essential for ensuring transparency and accountability within the DAO. I’ll support it fully and work where necessary with the team when an investment makes more sense than a AIP grant.”

6. How do you plan to make ApeCoin fun?

“To make ApeCoin fun, I’ll champion gamified elements like reward programs, interactive events, and NFT collaborations with builders in the ApeCoin community as well as fresh blood. I believe this will engage and grow the community, create excitement, and build an active, growing user base.”

7. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“I’m passionate about ApeCoin’s potential. With your vote, I’ll bring my experience, connections, and dedication to ensure our community thrives. It’s not just about being around; it’s about delivering real results. Let’s make ApeCoin a success together.”
