“Don’t miss your shot at the top, the DDU leaderboard will be locked soon,” The BAYC tweeted this evening. “After the leaderboard is locked, players can still dive through the sewers, but scores will not be counted towards final placements. No additional Golden Plungers can be earned from the Season Leaderboard after the completion of Season 1: Unclogged. Season 1: Unclogged closes on December 18, 2PM GMT+2.”

 

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Dookey Dashers have been racing through the sewers, aiming to earn Golden Plunger NFTs since the game’s launch in September. These NFTs serve as golden tickets to a season-ending eSports contest, where every participant is guaranteed to win at least $1,000 worth of ApeCoin.

While the specifics of the eSports tournament remain unclear, we know it will take place from January 11-17, 2025, and the top 250 seasonal leaderboard players—along with lucky dashers who won a Golden Plunger via the Wheel of Dookey—will compete for massive payouts.
