DID YOU SEE IT: A Bored Ape Made Its Way Into eToro's Super Bowl Ad.

Bored Ape Yacht Club members watched intently during last night’s Super Bowl wondering if bored apes would make an appearance.

While the BAYC did not have its own commercial and apes weren’t used in the Super Bowl halftime show, a bored ape did make it on air.

eToro, an Israeli social trading and multi-asset brokerage company that focuses on providing financial and copy trading services such as forex and crypto, had a 30 second commercial during Super Bowl LVI yesterday evening. In the commercial, the company highlighted the power of what it calls “social investing.”

At the end of the commercial, a woman holds her hand out to a man as the phrase “to the moon” appears on the screen. As the man takes the woman’s hand and begins to go “to the moon” with her, a bored ape is visible in the bottom right.

CEO and Co-Founder of NFTnow, Medved appears to be the first person to notice the bored ape in the ad. “Good detective work, eToro tweeted at Medved after he posted about the easter egg.

The bored ape in the commercial is Bored Ape #6189. Bored Ape #6189 is a six-trait brown fur ape with hypnotized eyes, horns, and a tie dye shirt. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #6189 is the 3908th rarest ape, according to Rarity Tools.

It is unclear who owns Bored Ape #6189 but whoever does own the hypnotized eyed primate purchased the ape for 80 Eth on January 6th, according to Opensea data.

The mystery owner also three other bored apes and one mutant ape, according to Opensea data. Each of these apes was purchased in the past month.
