COWABUNGA: The Cows Are Making Moo-ves In The Sewers Below The BAYC As Yuga Labs Gets Ready For Dookey Dash Unclogged
A familiar foe is making ‘moo-ves’ in the sewer below the Bored Ape Yacht Club as Yuga Labs gets ready to invite the Apes and the world into the gutter for Dookey Dash Unclogged.
On Thursday, Yuga Labs gave the community an update on the relaunch of its highly anticipated game, along with a look at the work that Curtis has been putting in to make sure the pipes are safe for degens and normies!
“It’s almost time to dive back into the sewers,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its gaming account. “The cows are up to something down there.”
During today’s Update, Curtis went to unclog the pipes and wound up coming face to face with a moo-licious foe from last year’s Dookey Dash that ruined more high scores than any other obstacle, a sewer cow!
After coming face to face with the beast, the cow pulled Curtis down into the toilet, where he found himself surrounded by a herd of cattle as they moo-ved through a vortex of radioactive ooze.
“Something unruly is happening in the sewer,” Yuga Labs’ CEO, Daniel Alegre tweeted after today's update.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs announced that Dookey Dash was coming back and that everyone in Web3 and beyond would be invited to ape in earlier this month.
“Looks like Curtis needs to get the plunger out, there’s something in the toilet,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its gaming account on January 16th. “Dookey Dash Unclogged, coming Q1 2024. This time anyone can play.”
Dookey Dash Unclogged will be similar to the original game that the Yugaverse collectively spent an ungodly amount of time playing last year, but with more customization, enhanced graphics, mobile gameplay, and it will welcome Apes and non-apes to participate!
“The goal of Dookey Dash Unclogged is to put BAYC and Yuga into a million people's pockets,” Yuga Labs Co-Founder Garga tweeted after the game was announced. "(In the dumbest way possible lol).”
Dookey Dash Unclogged is set to debut sometime in quarter one, 2024, according to Yuga Labs.
While we do not know exactly when the game will go live, we do know that BAYC, MAYC, BAKC, and HV-MTL holders will receive some sort of benefit in the game.
Further, we know that Dookey Dashers of all skill levels will be able to earn ‘golden plungers’ ,based on performance or at random, that act as entry tickets into high stakes games, according to Yuga Labs Gaming Council member Adam Hollander.
“That feels like a pretty cool balance to me,” Hollander said on BAYC Council Member Laura Rod’s Space on January 16th . “When you play most games you don’t have any chance at winning digital collectible items that could be tradable on a secondary market for cash and in this case everyone will feel like they have a shot at that regardless at how good they are.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Dookey Dash Unclogged. Stay tuned for updates!
