On Wednesday, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the Otherside Discord to discuss why he and the team decided to shut down the mobile app Dookey Dash Unclogged last month and to tease its return once the Otherside officially opens in June 2025!
“We didn't see the broader adoption of DDU that we'd need to keep it as its own standalone, so we're integrating dookey dash into OS,” Garga explained. “We've figured out some really great ways to get browsers working seamlessly in Otherside to make transacting on the blockchain easy, and that also extends to building in webGL and other browser-based type games into Otherside too.”
While Dookey Dash Unclogged may not have gained enough mainstream traction to keep Yuga Labs’ pipe dream of a pooped themed endless runner game open, it clearly made waves in the Web3 and gaming worlds during its five-month run!
