From a Coin to a Collection: $Apes are swimming with the Fishies this weekend after Bored Ape Yacht Club member CryptoDilly’s Fishies NFT collection minted out on ApeChain.

The smell of a successful launch wafted through the swamp on Sunday as community members snagged all 5,555 Fishies on Blever, reeling them in for 3.5 $APE each!

 

 

“The support has been overwhelming, I am so thankful to be surrounded by so many amazing people in this space,” CryptoDilly told the Gazette after the mint.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Fishies started as a memecoin last month to honor ApeFest 2024’s host country, Portugal, and its iconic sardines. Every million $FISH coins could be exchanged for one free Fishies NFT.

 

 

Following the mint, $Apes proudly displayed their Fishies on the digital walls of Twitter, sharing their catches on the timeline!

 

Of the 5,555 Fishies, the collection includes five unique 1/1 legendary catches inspired by CryptoDilly himself, Pauser, and Idrawanimation.

 

While the Fishies project has no roadmap or utility beyond the art, CryptoDilly hinted at some ideas to potentially scale these sardines.

 

“Fishies is an experiment, there are no plans or roadmap. But I do have some creative ideas that I will be exploring,” he said. “ But for right now, I am just happy that the mint went smooth, and so many people are enjoying the art!”
