CAPS, GOWNS, AND $APE: 12 Bored Builders Just Graduated From Open Campus, The Bored Ape Yacht Club, And ApeCoin's Made By Apes U!

Pomp and circumstance blasted around the swamp today as Made By Apes U’s first cohort of bored builders graduated from the program with a wealth of knowledge and some $APE to fund their endeavors!

Things were anything but boring on Friday as 12 Made By Apes businesses donned their caps and gowns and graduated from Made By Apes U, a first-of-its-kind online business program created by Open Campus, the Bored Ape Yacht Club, and ApeCoin Updates.

 

“They came, they learned, they graduated,” Open Campus tweeted. “The first mbAPE_U cohort is officially complete. But the journey doesn’t stop here—each graduate is receiving 500 APE from @ThankApeas a launchpad for what’s next. @ThankApe is dedicated to funding and scaling projects that grow the ApeCoin ecosystem and create value for the DAO. That’s why they’re supporting mbAPE_U—an initiative powered by the @ApeCoin DAO in collaboration with the @BoredApeYCMade by Apes program,  @ApeCoinUpdates (formerly GWG), and @opencampus_xyz. Graduating from Made By Apes U isn’t your typical college business class filled with theories, note-taking, and tests. This program dives deep into entrepreneurship, encouraging the cohort to think big and develop tangible ways to grow their bored businesses!

“For 4 straight weeks myself and other mba owners, many of which I have met irl and know personally, all gathered 2 nights a week to learn,” MBApe U grad 0xBoredDev tweeted. “I honestly expected a full hour of slideshows and someone talking, but I was wrong. Every night we had a specific topic to discuss. During these calls we were asked to answer questions, forcing us to think about our business deeply. Many times we were put into rooms with our peers and asked to converse on our thoughts. There was one session were we practiced a 1 on 1 Q&A as if we were talking with customers. It turned out to be one of my favorites with VonFrontin. It really put many of us out of our comfort zones….They brought in established entrepreneurs to talk with us as well. We even had access to 1 on 1 calls with select mentors. We learned real valuable lessons about running a business. Some of the topics were customer insights and marketing, target audience and pricing, e-commerce and brand building, plus more. I truly learned a lot and it drove me to refine some of my current approaches. I highly suggest this program for any mba looking to learn more. I was surrounded my all the peers I actually look up to and it was special sharing this with all of them.”

 

After the 12 businesses graduated, Yuga Labs Senior Producer and one of the MBApe U Leads, BadTeeth, took to the timeline to congratulate the students and teachers for making the grade!
