'BUILDING': Yuga Labs Co-Founder Gordon Goner Is Working On A Top Secret Bored Ape Yacht Club Treasure Hunt! Here's What We Know So Far:

Get your shovels ready and brush up on your puzzle skills because Yuga Labs Co-Founder Gordon Goner is diving back into the swamp and working on another Bored Ape Yacht Club treasure hunt!

Nearly three years after a ‘strange note’ was left at the bar, leading Bored Ape Yacht Club members on the Jimmy the Monkey treasure hunt, Yuga Labs Co-Founder Gordon Goner has announced on social media that he has started working on the club’s next major online event!

“Started work on the BAYC treasure hunt this week,” Goner tweeted. “First time in three years I feel like I have full creative control over something. First time in a two years I feel healthy enough to commit. Solely focused on this, putting my name on the line. No idea how long it will take to complete. Same feeling I had when I was making BAYC with my co-founders. All this pent up frustration of illness, all this untapped pranic potential. Pointing my bat out to the nose bleeds: this will be unlike anything that has ever occurred. Woe to my enemies who wish they had my ability to synthesize reality. Woe to the haters who will say, “Merely a treasure hunt?” A pox upon them, for the stars have aligned and apelike angels surround me. I drink their milkshakes.”

 

 

At this time, we don’t know much about Goner’s new treasure hunt, but he did mention that his goal is to give this next event Ready Player One vibes. He expects it will take 4-5 months to create, it has nothing to do with CryptoPunks, and while it will primarily be online, an IRL component isn’t out of the question.

"I am 95% working on this one project, and it's for apes, It's going to take time,” he wrote. “Months. But I think it's going to be the biggest thing to happen in this space since BAYC itself. I've been cooking on this idea for two years.”

As BAYC members guess what Goner might be going for, he thanked his longtime friend and fellow Yuga Labs Co-Founder Garga for giving him the opportunity to make “weird shit” and getting the BAYC back on track.

“shout out @CryptoGarga for letting me do my thing again,” Goner tweeted. “Literally wouldn't be able to work like this again if it weren't for him fixing literally everything else while i sat on the toilet reading comic books for the last year. that's my founder.”
