BUBBLY VIBES: The Yugaverse Took To The Skies In Otherside To Try Out Yuga Labs’ New Bubble Hangout Spaces!

The Yugaverse was bubbling on Thursday as hundreds of Apes, Meebs, Voyagers, and more floated into Otherside to alpha test Yuga Labs' Bubble Hangout Spaces, a metaverse-native take on Twitter Spaces where users chat and come togetheras their Profile Photos!

Things were anything but boring as the Web3 world stepped outside the usual crypto Twitter Space echo chamber and into the Bubble Hangouts of Otherside.

 

Over the four hour event, community members floated above the Clubhouse in the first-ever Bubble chats hosted by KOKO, the BAYC Council, Barron& IllaDaProducer, and OtherspaceFM.

Once inside a bubble, attendees were surrounded by familiar faces from around the swamp, Voyager Robots, and even GRILLZ Teeth NFTs! The more people joined a bubble, the bigger it got and higher it rose.

While floating, users enjoyed Otherside’s breathtaking views, including PP Man’s birthday cake mountain and the distant Meebits world of Meetropolis.

Along with sight seeing, users also got to relax on bubble seats, channel their inner Ferris Bueller with a laid back chilling pose, and perform slow-motion backflips that were a total vibes.

“All I can say is WOW,” Yuga Labs’ Community and Partnerships Lead IllaDaProdcuer tweeted. “This is literally a dream come true for so many apes that imagined what it would be like in the OS and what the equivalent of a Twitter space would look like. Well look no further, we now have BUBBLES! Being in a 3D environment, chatting with the homies about shitcoins was DOPE! Then after it was done, I dropped down and I see Santeezy and Lovans chatting at the clubhouse and I joined in for a quick convo. This is surreal. We’re really building this thing in PUBLIC!! BAYC.”

 

 

Following the event, attendees filled the timeline with photos of their Apes, Meebs, and Voyager Robots floating and vibing in the most peculiar way.

"Hanging in an @OthersideMeta “Bubble”, floating high above the Otherside with @BoredApeYC @yugalabs  fam, plus other welcome guests," " BAYC Member Mike Montgomery tweeted. "This is what connecting, networking, and making friends - across the planet, in real time - looks like in 2024. Kudos to the entire Otherside team."

During the event, community members also got the chance to pitch ideas for future improvements, including easier ways to bring people up to talk, private bubbles, bubble tours, and even a mute button for the fireworks! Yuga Labs also teased the return of the popular Koda Cameras soon!

After the event, Yuga Labs took to the timeine and thanked the community for popping in.
