BREAKING NEWS: The Beta For Otherside: Legends Of The Mara Opens Next Month. Here's How You Can Play

The Legends of the Mara are true as Yuga Labs announced that an open beta for the highly anticipated game is coming next month.

Things were anything but boring around the Yugaverse on Wednesday as Yuga Labs released a new Legends of the Mara teaser trailer and announced that the game begins in September.

Next month we release the open beta for LoTM — and there’s much more to come,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Othersidemeta account. “We’ve partnered with @farawaygg and are building a major expansion in Unity. But we want to get an early version in the community’s hands now so you can play and provide feedback while we keep building.This chapter of LotM will evolve over the coming months, and more capabilities will be uncovered as the full launch nears. But for now, get ready to hatch your Vessels, gather sediment from your deed, and defend Otherside."

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs has repeatidly said that LoTM is strategy game and that Voyagers will need to be strategic in how they fight the Shattered and defend the Otherside.

“LOTM, is a 2D standalone experience powered by ApeCoin,” Yuga Labs wrote on the game’s FAQ. “LOTM is a game that enlists the Otherside Koda collection and introduces a brand new collection called Mara, which can evolve into Kodamara. It begins with every Otherdeed holder being gifted a Vessel. What happens next is up to the player.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, all Otherdeed holders can claim their Vessels and participate in the Legends of The Mara game next month by claiming their Vessels, that turn into Mara and KodaMaras, on Yuga Labs’ Otherside website here: https://lotm.otherside.xyz
