Crypto is back in America, and ApeFest is too! On Wednesday, Yuga Labs CEO Garga took to the Otherside Discord for another chat with holders and announced that ApeFest 2025 will be bored in the USA!
After thousands of BAYC members swung across the globe for ApeFest 2023 in Hong Kong and ApeFest 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal, Yuga Labs has confirmed that the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s flagship event is returning to the land of the free.
“Will be domestic/USA, locking in venue,” Garga wrote on Discord today, “When regulators wanted to kill all crypto in the USA, felt like doing it overseas made a lot of sense. But been a while since we had one back in the USA, and it's as good a time as any.”
Along with confirming that ApeFest 2025 will be in America, Garga also shared that the event will take place sometime in Q4, no earlier than last year’s dates of October 18-20.
At this time, the exact location in the U.S. remains unknown, but many Apes believe it will be in Las Vegas, Nevada, based on past comments from Yuga Labs Co-Founder Gordon Goner.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Goner, who has been unable to attend the last two ApeFests due to health reasons, has been calling for an ApeFest Vegas for years.
Back in 2023, Goner first hinted at ApeFest Vegas after running a Twitter poll on top cities for the event.
“Imagine an APE-only NL Hold 'Em Tournament.” He tweeted at the time. “Eternal glory to the winner.”
Then, during ApeFest 2024, Goner made his opinion even clearer, first tweeting “Next year ApeFest Vegas or I kill Greg.” Then bull posting for an ApeFest in Sin City:
“Thousands of apes flying halfway around the world every year to NY, to Hong Kong, to Lisbon. Just to fucking hang out, get drunk, and talk shop for a few days. Real cult shit,” Goner tweeted on October 19th, 2024. “Next year we do Vegas and lots of crime though, right?”
