Bored Ape Yacht Club Co-Founder Gargamel Says Super Bowl Speculation Is Getting Out Of Hand:

Bored Ape Yacht Club members have been speculating for weeks that bored apes will play a big part at this year’s Super Bowl but BAYC Co-Founder, Gargamel, says that the rumors and theories are getting out of hand.

For the past month, BAYC members have speculated that bored apes will be making an appearance at Super Bowl LVI. Many of the rumors stem from the fact that BAYC members Snoop Dogg and Eminem are performing during the halftime show.

Rumors of Bored Apes at the super bowl reached new highs this weekend after the BAYC released an article teasing an animated image of Curtis the ape. “P.S. — The header image for this post? That’s something else… Can’t talk about that, Gordo will get mad,” the club wrote in the post.

This cryptic message and animated image lead many apes to think that the BAYC would be making an appearance at the big game.

““Love the FOMO sign in the background, BAYC Member Carson tweeted. “Looks like a #SuperBowl ad to me.”

However, BAYC Co-Founder, Gargamel, lowered apes super bowl expectations in a Discord message last night.

“lol. Superbowl speculation getting out of hand,” he wrote. “That still was for something else we’ve been cooking up for a long time. We heard through the grapevine like everyone else that some community members were trying to do something cool but sounds like it fell through.”

Following Gargamel’s post, apes took to Twitter to applaud the BAYC for managing members expectations. “This team is smart, smart, smart, BAYC member Never Schelling tweeted. “They're putting on a master class in managing expectations. I told my wife last night I was worried about how much everyone was expecting from this weekend-this was a gentle way to nudge the focus to longer term.”

On the other hand, while Gargamel says that the super bowl speculation is getting out of hand; it’s important to note that he did not come out and say a definitive no bored apes at the super bowl.

“It wasn’t a direct statement saying no ads but I’m assuming no ads,” BAYC member Cryp0nomics.Eth. “I could be wrong and that wouldn’t be the first time lol.”

Regardless of whether bored apes make an appearance at the super bowl, bored apes will play a big role at the game.

BAYC member and Rams Linebacker Von Miller will be a key factor as he and the Rams defense try to stop Joe Burrow and the Bengals.

Along will Miller playing during the game, BAYC members and famous rappers Snoop Dogg and Eminem will be wowing viewers during the halftime show.

Not to mention, the odds are high that some famous BAYC members will be staring in commercials throughout the evening.
