Its been a busy Ape-ril for longtime Web3 builder Adam Hollander. First, he got his old Ape back and then he landed a new job as Chief Marketing Officer of Opensea, all in the same week!

On Wednesday, the prodigal primate Adam Hollander made his return to the Bored Ape Yacht Club, buying back his old NFT, Bored Ape #3987, which he sold 13 months ago.

“tbh I wasn't planning on jumping back in today,” Hollander told the Gazette.  But I saw my old ape on the literal floor, and it just felt right.”

Buying back his Ape wasn’t the only move Hollander made this Ape-ril. A day after rejoining the swamp, he announced that he’ll be helping captain OpenSea as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

“Excited to share that I’ve joined  @opensea as Chief Marketing Officer,” he announced. “I’ve been working closely with Devin and the OS team for the last several weeks. The people, product, strategy & ethos have exceeded my wildest expectations. It's no secret that I’ve been critical of OpenSea over the years. There’s a lot of work to do. But I can feel the transformation that's already begun as the company becomes more communicative and transparent. And OS2 is a truly world class platform that delights customers - a marketer's dream product. My professional experience gives me the ability to do this job. The last four years of living in the web3 trenches with all of you gives me the deep cultural understanding to do it well. Exciting times ahead.”

After Hollander’s post, Opensea Co-Founder and CEO Devin Finzer welcomed him abored. “Adam is a straight shooter with deep web3 instincts,” he said. “His feedback has made OS better, and now he's building with us. Welcome to the crew”

The Bored Ape Gazette welcomes Hollander back to the swamp, congratulates him on the new role, and will keep you posted on what he does next at Opensea. Stay tuned for updates!
