$Ape Holders Will Be Able To Test Games And Try Out Protocols On ApeChain's Curtis Testnet Soon!
Although the goal of the second ApeChain testnet is to prepare developers for the mainnet launch, that doesn’t mean the next few weeks will be boring for $Ape holders and users, according to Horizen Labs’ Vice President of Ecosystem Growth, Blockchainzilla.
On Tuesday, the Horizen Labs, Offchain Labs, and Arbitrum teams deployed the second ApeChain testnet, dubbed ‘Curtis Testnet,’ and invited $Ape holders, builders, and blockchain enthusiasts to ape into the new ApeChain website, testnet, and Telegram!
While the primary goal of this second testnet is to get things ready for ApeChain’s mainnet launch, typical $Ape holders can look forward to playing some games on Curtis Testnet, trying out the DEXs, and more soon!
“There is stuff that’s coming on in the next few weeks,” Blockchainzilla told the Gazette during this week’s Bored Ape Gazette live Spaces. “The two major Dexs who are going to be on ApeChain will be there, note I said two. Some of the things that have been passed (by the DAO) already are getting on there. I know Koko is hard at work on Ape Express. Some of the gameplay in various forms is getting on there as well. There will start to be things that you can do as a user over the next couple of weeks.”
Blockchainzilla went on to say that everyone around the $Ape ecosystem should be excited for Curtis Testnet and encouraged them to check out the testnet to not only help developers create great protocols but also possibly be rewarded for being early.
“Testnets are for developers at the end of the day, but developers want people to go and test what they are doing,” he said. “It’s kind of like early access to stuff. You should absolutely be going on, playing around with stuff, and getting excited. I think there are always benefits to being early. I don’t know exactly what everyone’s plans are, but often times people reward people who have ben with them from Testnets.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow ApeChain's Curtis Testnet and will let you know when projects and protocols go live so $Apes can ape in. Stay tuned for updates!
