APE FEST: The BAYC Released New Information About The First Annual Ape Fest. What We Know So Far:
Updated: Feb 8, 2022
The Bored Ape Yacht Club has released new information regarding the club’s first annual Ape Fest.
The BAYC announced that the club would hold its first annual ape fest in New York City last month during the clubs Roadmap 2.0 reveal. At the time, many members pointed out that Ape Fest and NFT NYC dates overlapped.
Club Founder, GordonGoner, confirmed that this overlap was intentional and that Ape Fest during NFT NYC would be a great time to get apes together.
“Since many members of the broader NFT community will be descending on New York City at the start of November for NFT.NYC(and the unofficial/offsite events being organized around it), we thought this would be the perfect time for our first annual APE FEST," Goner wrote in the BAYC Discord Announcement channel. “We wanted to share some info about what we have planned so people can be prepared.”
At the time of this articles publication, Ape Fest has five confirmed events taking place between October 31st and November 6th.
The first scheduled Ape Fest event is “APED NYC at Bright Moments Gallery. The event will take place on October 31st from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.. During that time, apes will experience “an immersive gallery experience,” followed by a costume contest. After the contest, the next event will be “APE FEST MUTANT HALLOWEEN PARTY." The party will run until the gallery closes. More information on the party and how to RSVP will be made available soon.
The next Ape Fest event is “APE FEST YACHT PARTY” on October 31st at Pier 40. “We couldn't come up with a better way to celebrate the BAYC than to rent out a 1,000 person yacht for Halloween night along the Hudson,” Goner posted. “Can't wait to see what costumes you all come up with!”
Tickets for the “APE FEST YACHT PARTY” are free for Bored Apes and Mutant holders. Apes and Mutants that are interested in attending the yacht party can get their tickets on a first come first serve basis during the APED NYC at Bright Moments Gallery event earlier that day.
In order to verify who is an ape/ mutant holder, the Goner said the club will be utilizing a one-time passcode system. This system will be similar to the one that the club has previously used for merchandise drops. Apes and mutants Will need to bring this passcode with them to the APED NYC at Bright Moments Gallery event in order to get a ticket.
Next, The BAYC will be hosting an APE FEST MERCH POP UP on November 1st and 2nd from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.. The Club will provide more information on the pop up as it becomes available.
Following the MERCH POP UP, the next event will be the "APE FEST WAREHOUSE PARTY" on November 3rd. The party will take place at Brooklyn Steel, which was previously ranked as one of the best live music venues by Rolling Stones Magazine. Admittance for this event is free to Bored Ape and Mutant Ape holders. In order to get in, the club will be handing out wristbands for the event during the MERCH POP UP. Just like the yacht party, apes and mutants will need a passcode to prove that they’re club members.
The final confirmed APE FEST event is a VIP CHARITY DINNER on November 6th from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.. “Our very own OhhhShiny is arranging a VIP dinner at Carbone for November 6th! Capacity is limited, so tickets will be auctioned off with proceeds going to charity after costs are covered,” Goner wrote. “All are welcome. Details for ticket sales and more information to follow.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Ape Fest and report any new information or events that the club or members announce.
