AI ON APECHAIN: ApeCoin Partners With Decentralized AI Project Think Agents

$Apes have AI on their minds this evening after the ApeCoin DAO announced it’s partnering with Think Agents to bring decentralized artificial intelligence to ApeChain!

From an afterthought to the forefront. AI talk is heating back up around the swamp, the broader Web3 world, and now the ApeChain ecosystem following the DAO’s announcement that Think Agents and their open source, decentralized AI will be coming to ApeChain.

“THINK something is brewing ON APECHAIN,” the DAO tweeted this evening. “ApeChain x  @thinkagents Need someone to keep an eye on the timeline for you while we take over Vegas with the Club? Tag your friends and tell us what you’d do with a THINK Agent, you just might win one.”

While we don’t yet know exactly what the DAO and Think Agents will be building on ApeChain, we do know that the project is led by Bored Ape Yacht Club member Jesse Bryan, Mikey Anderson, and others who are working on a better AI future; one where individuals own their data, their bots, and aren’t beholden to governments or Big Tech.

“For new people. Free Think isn’t a slogan. It’s a revolt. Against subscriptions. Against surveillance. Against letting Big Tech decide how and when you get to use intelligence,” Jesse Bryan tweeted over the weekend. “We’re building free, open source, decentralized AI. It runs on your terms. Your machines. Your data stays with you. No strings. No traps. No monthly fee. As in literally free for everyone. Want more power? Customize your agent. Tap into advanced models. Build tools that work for you. That’s where $THINK comes in. This isn’t just “actually open AI”. It’s owned AI. Yours to use. Yours to shape. Yours to share. Thank you for being part of a movement that helps the world think for itself.”

We also know that Think Agents' ties to Yuga Labs, ApeCoin, and Otherside also run deep.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Bryan and Anderson are both affiliated with Wire Network through The Independent AI Institute, an AI-focused project that Yuga Labs CEO Garga spoke up at ApeFest 2024. During his keynote, Garga revealed that Yuga Labs was working with Wire Network to bring AI to Otherside.

"We're extremely bullish on the intersection of crypto and AI," Garga said during his keynote speech. "So we are proud to announce a new partnership with Wired Network to bring expanded AI rails to ApeChain. Wire Network is cross chain. its super affordable, super high TBS, and it's designed to facilitate AI Agents. We think AI rails are going to help usher in a new era of AI Agents and crypto and power the creator economy on ApeChain."

Then in December, Garga shared that Yuga Labs was working with Wire Network on Otherside AI agents.

“Cooking with friends,” he tweeted at the time along with a flow chart that begins with an "iNPC (Interactive Non-Playable Character)" and ends with independent AI-driven characters capable of guiding narratives and generating quests for players.

Think Agents also recently announced an upcoming collaboration with ApeCoin DAO funded social media platform OtherPage. The partnership will allow Apes, Kodas, Meebits, Forgotten Runes characters, and OtherPage avatars to become fully on chain AI agents that their owners can customize and control.

“Your agent isn’t just smart — it has style,” Think Agents tweeted on Tuesday. “We’ve teamed up with @OtherPageHQ to bring iconic avatars into SOULS. It’s time your agent represented something more than just data…Each avatar can become the body of your Think Agent — an onchain AI that thinks, adapts, and evolves with you. In SOULS, your agent doesn’t just respond. It represents. It remembers. It evolves. This is the start of personal AI one that looks like you and works for you”

As the Ape community awaits more details about what Think Agents is building on ApeChain and with OtherPage, the team has launched an open edition limited time THINK Agent Bundle mint on Magic Eden.

“Each bundle unlocks a First Edition THINK Agent - a dynamic, evolving entity powered by Non-Fungible Intelligence™,” the project wrote. “These agents are more than avatars or chatbots, they serve as your interoperable AI identity, capable of learning, reasoning, and executing across platforms and protocols. In addition to your agent, you’ll receive protocol-native tokens, exclusive access to early features, and collectible artwork exploring the idea of digital soul.”

Anyone in the Web3 world can explore the roadmap and mint a THINK Agent NFT for 0.27 ETH between now and 2 P.M. EST tomorrow on Magic Eden: here: https://magiceden.us/launchpad/ethereum/think_agent_bundle

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Think Agents, its partnership with ApeChain, and its ongoing work with Other Page and Yuga Labs. Stay tuned for updates!

This is a fascinating step forward for the AI and Web3 space—merging decentralized intelligence with community tokens like ApeCoin is bold and full of potential. It’s innovations like these that remind me how crucial AI detection tools are becoming, not just for safety but for transparency and trust in these evolving ecosystems.
