Adidas Into The Metaverse Gave Holders An Update On When They Will Get Their Merch:

Adidas gave its Into The Metaverse NFT holders an update on when they can expect to receive their physical merch items last week.

Adidas Originals took to the ITM Discord on July 7th and told the community that the company ran into issues getting holders their merch.

“In complete transparency, supply chain logistics have been more difficult than expected, compounded by a totally new product creation process for our ITM holders,” Adidas wrote. “As you know, we work with our logistics partner, Top Drawer Merch, so that we can have the most widely distributed merch shipped to you, wherever in the world you might be, because the metaverse is not limited by geography.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Adidas closed the window for ITM holders to claim their physical merchandise on May 18th and the company expected the hoodies and beanies to be shipped in May, according to their website.

While ITM holder’s beanie and hoodie shipments were delayed, Adidas assured the community that the company is back on track and that the items will be delivered soon.

“The hoodies, after hitting a bump in the road, are now making the trek across the US from South Carolina to California," Adidas wrote. “We expect this process to take 7-10 days, and Top Drawer will commence shipping the beanie and hoodies together as soon as they arrive.We hear your frustration, and we share it. We want you to be in your hoodies and beanies ASAP. We are doing everything in our power to move this along as quickly as possible.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC, Punks Comic and Gmoney all teased a collab with Adidas on November 28th 2021, posting a 3D model of Bored Ape #8874, AKA Indigo Herz rocking an Adidas tracksuit with the Adidas logo on the ape’s right and the BAYC, Punks Comic and GMoney logos on the left.

Adidas then released its NFT project into the Metaverse on December 17th, 2021. Adidas’ NFT collection consist of 30,000 NFTs that pay homage to the three NFT projects Adidas collaborated with.

Since the release of ITM, Adidas has given holders the chance to claim physical merch and the company also airdropped ITM holders a mysterious capsule NFT that is currently worth .308 Eth or $351 USD, according to Opensea.
