A NEW NEST: This Moonbirds Community Member Built An Online Hub Packed With Resources & Tools For Birbs!

The Moonbirds are nesting in a brand-new online hub, packed with resources and tools to welcome newcomers and help longtime holders soar!

On Friday, the Birbs got a new perch after community member I Got The Herb launched a new Moonbirds community website called “So You Bought It.”

The site features a Welcome to the Nest intro page, a Build a Bird workshop where users can create their own fly fren, a Builders Tools page filled with links to help Birbs “build cool shit,” a Community Resources page with official Moonbirds and Yuga Labs links, along with must-follow accounts, and an IP Pack platform that lets holders view various versions of their Birbs!

"So You Bought It is meant to be a way to help onboard new users, while providing a one stop shop for everything needed by the community," I Got The Herb tweeted. "It's the go to place to learn about Moonbirds, get some help building thanks to our builder tools, and claim your IP Pack.With links to helpful resources, information from the Moonbirds universe and links to some of the coolest tools fellow builder birds have built. It also includes some new tools such as the moonbirds-art package, and a commitment from me to continue to build tools.The moonbirds-art package is an NPM package which provides a bunch of helpful functions for builders to use the CC0 Moonbirds art. If you're wanting to add traits to it, help with maintaining it, or even just add new features, feel free to hit me up!"

 

After the launch, I Got The Herb told the Gazette that he knew he had to create this platform after picking up his first Birb last year.

“When I joined Moonbirds last year, I knew there was a lot going on and created by the community, but I couldn't find where it all was,” he said. “People were talking about nesting birds, showing off their cool gifs... so I wanted to try get onboarded. A lot of the information was no longer relevant, and it was really awkward to find, which lead to the first version of So You Bought It almost exactly a year ago. Then recently was talking to Holo to see if himself or the team could support me with some art to make it look a lot better, and thankfully, he was able to get all the art sorted for it! Which brings us to today, lots of new people joining, and a sleeker, easier to understand onboarding tool so they don't have to be the noob I was.”
