"A BORED APE BEER": The BAYC X BAPE And A Bored Brewing Co Are Brewing A Historically Bored Lager!

Made By Apes brand Bored Brewing Co. is brewing the most boring lager in history for its upcoming collaboration with the Bored Ape Yacht Club and A Bathing Ape!

hings will be anything but boring this Saturday as Apes ape into the tokengated BAYC X BAPE Season 2 merch drop, featuring 15 different items, including several Ape-exclusive pieces, shark hoodies, sunglasses, and more!

Along with merch and accessories, Apes will also have the chance to pick up a six-pack or two of the most boring lager ever made, dubbed “A Bored Ape Beer.”

“Beer just tastes better in the swamp. BAPE® x BAYC x @BoredBrewingCo,” the BAYC tweeted yesterday. “Available September 14 at 10AM ET. Link will be shared from this account.”

This brew is set to make Bored Ape history, as it marks the first time the BAYC has included a Made By Apes brand in one of its top-tier collaborations.

“It's incredible to work on a collab with two of the best brands in the world,” Bored Brewing Co’s Founder Pieter told the Gazette. “We pride ourselves on our branding capabilities, so it's really an honor to work with legends.”

 

Along with making Bored Ape history, this drop will also be one for the BAPE history books, according to the club’s resident hypebeast, Franalations.

“They (BAPE) have done their own beer previously, but I don’t believe it was a collaboration,” he said on today’s Bored Ape Gazette Live Space. “They did it in the early 2000’s but I have never seen that product in person. But I have an encyclopedia of all their collaborations and releases over the years. I think the beer released around 2003 or 2004 and if my memory serves me correctly, just a couple years ago, they rereleased that same can as a Japan or Hong Kong exclusive. They have done beer before but I think this is the first time they’ve done it in collaboration with anyone. And I love the fact that Yuga is collaborating with a Made By Apes brand rather than just directly them with BAPE.”
