50/50: Over Half Of 'Otherdeeds For Otherside' Have Been Exchanged For 'Otherdeed Expanded' NFTs!

The Yugaverse achieved a significant milestone today, with over 50% of the original 'Otherdeeds for Otherside' NFTs having been exchanged for dynamic 'Otherdeed Expanded' digital assets that will change and grow through Yuga Labs’ upcoming games!


Five months after Yuga Labs announced that Voyagers would need to burn their original Otherdeeds to acquire dynamic NFTs to participate in the Legends of The Mara strategy game, and less than one week after the launch of LOTM, a total of 50,330 Otherdeeds have already been transformed at the time of this article’s publication.


As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, in April, Yuga Labs announced that in order for Voyagers to decouple their Kodas and claim their Mara Vessels for LOTM, they would need to exchange their Otherdeed for Otherside NFTs for Yuga Labs’ new ‘Otherdeed Expanded’ collection.




“Otherdeed Expanded is your key to unlocking future gameplay experiences and activations, including Otherside: Legends of the Mara,” Yuga Labs wrote in a press release in April 2023. “Otherside will be best experienced using dynamic NFTs that can change over time. The new smart contract will offer Voyagers who choose to burn their original Otherdeed NFT access to Yuga’s new gaming experiences and activations outside of Otherside (the game). Two key components of Legends of the Mara are the use of Otherside Koda NFTs and Otherside Vessel NFTs, which will be integral pieces to playing the game. Throughout the course of gameplay, there will be opportunities to earn new entitlements, upgrade existing entitlements, and evolve entitlements earned, which we’ll learn more about closer to the release date of Legends of the Mara.”


For Voyagers who have not exchanged their 'Otherdeeds for Otherside' for 'Otherdeed Expanded' NFTs, fear not. Voyagers can burn their deeds for Otherdeed Expanded NFTs and claim their Vessels whenever they are ready!
